TrustIBAN
TrustIBAN is being created as a privacy-first invoice safety checker for Belgium. The platform will help citizens, families and companies detect suspicious invoices, fraudulent IBAN replacement, company mismatches and payment scams before money is sent.
Invoice fraud often happens when a real-looking invoice contains a fraudulent bank account. TrustIBAN is being designed to compare invoice details against verified company data, verified IBAN records, fraud indicators and suspicious patterns.
Checks if the invoice IBAN is known and linked to the claimed company.
Belgian company, VAT and identity checks will be part of the first development phase.
Sender domains and suspicious email indicators can help detect impersonation attempts.
Metadata and scam-pattern signals can improve detection as the system grows.
This visual flow explains how TrustIBAN will process an uploaded invoice, extract key data, check it against verified sources, generate a risk result and help the user decide safely.
TrustIBAN is planned with temporary encrypted processing as the default. Normal invoice files should not be permanently stored by default. After verification, uploaded files can be deleted automatically while only safe metadata and fraud signals are retained for system intelligence.
